Hi, I’m Mala!
Hey there, and welcome to my kitchen!

I’m a 33-year-old food lover, kitchen daydreamer, and lifelong home cook who’s happiest when the oven’s warm, the house smells like something sweet, and I’ve got a wooden spoon in hand.
I live with my wonderful family, and when I’m not in the kitchen testing new recipes, you can probably find me scribbling ideas in a notebook, planning dinner around what’s in the fridge, or sipping coffee while flipping through old cookbooks for inspiration.
I’ve been cooking for over 15 years now, and honestly? I still get excited every time a dish turns out just right—and even when it doesn’t, I still have fun trying. I love simple meals made from everyday ingredients—recipes that feel like home and are easy enough for anyone to make, whether you’re new to cooking or have been doing it for years.
Why Did I Start Mala Recipe?
Great question—and a personal one!
I started Mala Recipe as a way to share the dishes I’ve been making for years with my family and friends. I’d always get asked for recipes, and I realized, “Why not create a place where everyone can find them in one spot?”
What started as a little side project quickly became something I truly love. I never imagined how many people would find joy in the same recipes that have been on my table for years.
I’ll never forget the day I realized that a simple photo of a dish could reach someone miles away—and help them create the same meal in their own kitchen. That’s what keeps me going. It’s not just about food—it’s about connection.

I Love What I Do, and I Hope It Shows
I’m so thankful you’re here. Whether you’re here for a quick weeknight dinner idea, a nostalgic dessert, or just browsing for something new to try—I hope you feel at home.
Every recipe I share is made with love, tested in my own kitchen, and written so you can make it with confidence.
Thanks for being part of this journey—and for letting me be a small part of your kitchen too.
Warm hugs and happy cooking,
Mala
